Why doesn’t sugar make adults hyper?

Actually, it turns out that sugar does not make anyone hyper. This is a myth.

..and this is a fairly uninteresting article about it:

Sugar doesn’t make kids hyper, and other parenting myths

While trying to find a picture of sugar so beautiful that it would make peoples’ heads explode, I inevitably ended-up on Mexican, jewel-toned wedding-cakes. Then, I blacked-out and twenty-minutes later I had a pile of pictures deeper than I could count. Here are a few.

Since I arrived at a tie between the two that I thought were most beautiful and I have already aged far too much while writing this, I found a picture of sugar gliders to use for the featured image.
