Is Aramaic still spoken by any peoples?

Yes, by about a half million people, but, after three-thousand years of life, it’s expected to die-out within ten years of when this article was written (which was nine years ago).

Even as an ancient language, it has evolved dramatically from biblical Aramaic. Still, it’s quite a legacy to watch disappear before our eyes.
